Typesetting for Every Genre
A novel needs different typesetting than a textbook. Poetry has its own spacing rules. Academic books need consistent heading hierarchies, footnotes, and references. We handle all of these. Our typesetting team has laid out 1,000+ books and knows the conventions for every major genre.
Indian Script Expertise
We typeset in Devanagari (Hindi, Sanskrit, Marathi), Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Nastaliq (Urdu), and other Indian scripts. Multilingual books — with mixed English and Hindi text, for example — are our specialty. We ensure consistent font sizing, line spacing, and alignment across scripts.
Print-Ready Output
We deliver print-ready PDF files with proper bleed, margins, and trim marks. The files work with any printer in India or internationally. We also set up the book for standard trim sizes (Demy, Crown, A5, etc.) or custom sizes as needed.
What Is Included
Interior layout includes chapter title pages, headers and footers, page numbering, table of contents, font selection and sizing, image placement (if applicable), and a final proof PDF for your review before printing.
Pricing
Typesetting starts at Rs 5/page for standard text-only books. Books with images, tables, or complex layouts are quoted separately. Typical cost for a 200-page novel: Rs 1,000-2,000.
Frequently Asked Questions
What format should I send my manuscript in?
Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) is preferred. We also accept Google Docs, PDF, and plain text files. For books with images, please send images separately as high-resolution files.
Can you handle books with illustrations or photographs?
Yes. We regularly typeset books with illustrations, photographs, charts, and diagrams. Image-heavy books (like coffee table books or children's books) are quoted separately based on complexity.
Do I get to review the layout before printing?
Always. We send you a proof PDF for review. You can request changes to font, spacing, margins, or any layout element before we finalize the print-ready file.
